Radio code and problem

Hi, I am hoping to obtain the code for my Doblo radio and hope someone may help (Davren!!). I also have a problem which led to the overnight disconnection of the battery (hence the reason for the code). The radio decided to start coming on by itself leading to the discharging of the battery. I had the timer set to shut off the radio which worked fine for years but after being off the road for a while it seems that it is working the opposite way now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nos. on radio are:
Paper label: BP Nr. 7 643 313 316
Prod. Nr. Fiat 735 388 373 also A151
Engraved on right side BP 331841176429
Engraved on left side 8 635 123 208.2 >St SN<

My radio started coming on in my Panda. It only started to happen after I took the CD out. There's no problem now I've put a CD back in.

I searched FF for this problem and found an old Punto thread. There is a microswitch in the Blaupunkt Panda / Punto radios that causes the fault. It tries to load a CD and if there isn't one - the radio comes on.

Hi George and thanks for the reply. I've got the radio out now to get the serial number but when I get it going again I'll give that a go.

Hi george I take it that it blaupunkt radio if so I think the code should be 6353 program worked with mine cheers craig

Hi Craig, thanks for the help but the code unfortunately didn't work. I don't know if it is a Blaupunkt or not but maybe that is what the BP means although it has Fiat as part of the ID info on the paper label which is a little worn out and the numbers 313 could possibly be 318 or even other combinations of 3 and 8 but they are the only slightly doubtful ones. If you fancy giving it another go I would be very grateful, Regards, Bob.

hi you need the three numbers which are a little worn should also be on the top of the radio mine was
Blaupunkt
Covering all Alfa romeo, citroen, fiat, peugeot, nissan, rover, vauxhall models that have been manufactured by blaupunkt
your part number starting 7 6, enter the 5th 6th and 7th digit e.g
P/N 7 641 372 001
enter 372
so i need those three number happy to try again but dont what you to block your radio let me know what number you what to try next cheers Craig

Hi Craig, try BP Nr. 7 643 318 316 although there is only 6 numbers on the radio so 8 wouldn't work on that theory. What do you think. Will the radio tell if I am locked out because I have tried several times. The paper label is really flaking now and dropped off but no numbers on top only on the sides which are mentioned at the beginning of this thread, Regards Bob!

ok i've got two code for you 1st 3645 try this one first or 1222 let me know if either work and if so which one if the radio comes up as blocked then just leave it with the ignition on and after a bit of time it will be unblocked 318 is for me to get the code not to put in the radio but if you haven't got the right number to start with its a bit harder lol craig

yes I know you would have Craig but honestly there was absolutely no ink down the left side of the digit, making it look like a 3 however on really close inspection the centre part was just a bit longer than the other 3. Think it's got a bit damp in it and that's probably what has effected the radio. Best Regards and thanks!!
