Radiator Fan Switch - Anyone Have One?

Hi all,

Newbie here :D

Got a 1997 1.8HLX and just bought a new radiator as the old one had a slow leak. So, this morning I took out the old rad, original 1997 unit too! From years of owning V6 Alfa 156's, the Valeo units lasted about 4 or 5 years, so I'm stunned that mine in my Bravo is 13 years old!!!

Anyhow, took it all apart and mounted the orig fan assy onto the new rad, and only then noticed that the new rad has a hole for (I think) a radiator fan temperature switch?

The old rad doesn't have the threaded hole, it's blank, so I'm guessing my coolant temp/fan switch is elsewhere. Anyhow, back to my point, I think the only way I'm going to resolve this is to buy a fan switch and install it just to fill the hole.

Question is, anybody have one they're happy to donate? I'll cover postage and say, a tenner for the unit, via Paypal, the caveat being I need it by Tuesday!

Thanks folks!!!!

I have one off a 1.2 if that will fit. You can have it with pleasure

you can buy them from any local motor factor, most of them are universal anyway

save time,go to shop :)

Cheers Axle! Good of ya mate. I'll try ringing around tomoz and if no joy I may well take you up on that offer!

Thanks for the advice - didn't know it was a universal fitment. That makes life easier!!!!

neither did i till i was going to get one when i couldnt get my rad fan working..
but if you think about it axle said his is a 1.2 and yours is a 1.8? if anything yours will get hotter so technically you'd think you would need one suited for yours ;)
