Hi All, first post here. Bought a 2014 and had an accident and had to replace the crash bar and condenser, and while I was in there I replaced the fan, just in case. I installed everything before I charged the ac. Car was running fine, radiator fan was running fine. I then charged the ac system with coolant and when I did, I noticed the fan started smoking in the area circled in red and now have a dead fan. Can anyone provide any insight as to what happened here? What does this plug do? Do I need a whole new fan, or can I replace this section? Looks like it has a screw to replace. If I replace, what has caused it to fail? I don't want to replace it and have it die again, if root cause is not addressed. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks All!
