Technical Radiator Fan Running, when ignition switched off

Hello,

I've got a 1995 Fiat Punto 1.1, and just noticed today that the rad fan was on for a little while after I switched off. Just wondered if that was normal?

Worried as I've just had the head gasket re-done, and don't want to have to pay out again.

This is possible. Usually if you were in traffic prior to switching the engine off, or you were driving fast this is actually a good sign indicating that the cooling system is working properly.

All the SPI cars will do that. No biggie unless accompanied by other symptoms.

But did they discover why the HG went in the first place?
