Hi, i joined over a month ago when i passed my test and could finally get on the road in my cinquecento, but havent had time to say hello because of the fun, so here it is.
Sadly though.. i blew the headgasgets on the motorway last thursday and it is still getting fixed. The Headgasget has been replaced but its still over heating and he has no idea what it is.. i missss it haha!

Hi there, your problem may be due to one of several possibilities, some of them are:

  • Warped head from a previous failure
  • Ceased water pump
  • Timing belt issues
  • Ceased thermostat
  • Coolant leak (including out of the core plugs/radiator)
I would suggest looking through those first in order to find the root cause. Good luck in fixing your problem :)
 
I had the same problem until i put a new rad in , according to my rad supplier (Kempston radiators) its a common fault on the chinc
 
cheers for the help, i got it back today after they tested pretty much everything and yeah you were right it was the radioator. so it hasn't been a massive repair, just well glad to get it back.. now though i have to re fit the heating thing so thats going to be a all day job tomorrow :) if you know how to do it that would be awsome!
