how about a 1.6hlx. its group 7 insurance. 1.8hlx is group 8 so it wont be much cheaper. both are bargains as far as insurance is concerned compared to other cars of a similar spec.
maybe you'd be better off converting a lower spec car to have the same equipment. fitting elec mirrors and front fogs isnt hard. although you get a lot more that that with an hlx, you also get better brakes with vented discs and ABS. you get a much better interior trim. you get remote central locking & alarm. you get the power steering with less assistance. you get heated seats. fitting all that wouldnt be hard either, but is it really worth the hassle? i've done it to cars more than once in the past, and although i enjoyed the conversion, it would have been better to just get a top of the range model in the first place.
how about a JTD HLX? surely that would be cheaper insurance, and cheaper to run, but you still get all the toys.
