just a quick question can you get a bravo with fogs and any other little goodies like electric mirrors without having to buy a car over a 1.8 as it would cost me £3/4000to insure myself on a car with that size engine?? looking for a bravo to buy u see but cnt see any with high spec unless engine is bigger that 1.8. If any1 has bravo car with good milage for sale plz let me kno.

I have a Fiat Bravo Trofeo Edition 2000 1.2lt 16V
with electric mirrors, fogs and most of the "goodies" you are talking about.
You should check for ELX editions that tend to be more "luxurius" from the sx ;)

how about a 1.6hlx. its group 7 insurance. 1.8hlx is group 8 so it wont be much cheaper. both are bargains as far as insurance is concerned compared to other cars of a similar spec.

maybe you'd be better off converting a lower spec car to have the same equipment. fitting elec mirrors and front fogs isnt hard. although you get a lot more that that with an hlx, you also get better brakes with vented discs and ABS. you get a much better interior trim. you get remote central locking & alarm. you get the power steering with less assistance. you get heated seats. fitting all that wouldnt be hard either, but is it really worth the hassle? i've done it to cars more than once in the past, and although i enjoyed the conversion, it would have been better to just get a top of the range model in the first place.

how about a JTD HLX? surely that would be cheaper insurance, and cheaper to run, but you still get all the toys.

Ok so u cnt get a fiat bravo with the extras unless i fit them. Is there any car which is no higher than a 1.6 and has lots of extras oh and that r uner £1500. Really did my have my heart set on a bravo thou with extras. Dont any1 wnt 2 sell me theres?lol

You can get the 1.6 in HLX (as I think someone already said) but there arent that many of them compared to SX's. That will have the fogs and stuff.

I can testify the 1.6 is much cheaper to insure than the 1.8, I pay £350 on mine (it's an SX though), they wanted £600 for the 1.8. Edit mines also a brava not a bravo, I found insurance cheaper on the brava.

Ok for most of the toys on low powered engined Bravo's look for,

Fiat Bravo Formula - Comes also with HLX Alloys like the bigger boys.
Fiat Bravo Trofeo - Come also with a Leather Steering wheel and gear knob.
Fiat Bravo Steel

The three above can be found on 1.2 and 1.6 Bravo's only. They come with two airbags atleast if not 4, ABS, nicer seats, rear boot spoiler, foglights etc.

on my last bravo i fitted the heckspoiler. i miss it, it looked so much better, but they're really hard to find. anyone know which models had them as standard, or were they only an optional extra?

you can have mine for £2000 including stereo or £1700 without (stereo cost £750), but i'm not selling it until i finish the interior 2 tone plastic mod, and do the rear lights (got a secret plan for xmas) so it should be ready to sell by the new year and will be a very unique bravo

Sorry for the OFF Topic Post, Jug are you interested in a passenger side airbag cover to go with your new interior styling? It would mean no melon holder. LOL. I got it for my Bravo only to find its for a MK1 and not a MK2 cover, its only the colour that makes them different. Heres a pic.

very interested, but i need mk2 marea coloured parts (darker). i guess this will be the lighter grey? how much do you want for it?

how much do you think it will be then???? insurance for 1.8??? i got 6points on license insurance was £1500 for 1.4 12v brava on girlfriends insurance shes older than me,lol

when i got banned insurance quotes in my name doubled, but in my mother's name they we're only half as much even without using her no claims bonus (ncb can only be used on 1 policy at a time) give it a go and see what difference it makes. (it may help to have the car registered in your mother's name, or whoever the policy holder will be)
