Technical Quick oil change with suction pump?

Has anyone any experience of using a pump to change the oil on Ducato 2500 1993. I usually drain the sump but would be usful if pump works as often we are away for long periods in Greece. Thanks.

I bought a oil vacuum pump from a yacht chandlier ( about £36 )it hold about 6 litres and when oil is hot it takes only a few minutes to empty the sump via the dipstick, the first time I used it I took the sump plug out but no more oil drained out. I now use it to all my vehicles when changing the oil.
