Hi all l have bravo 1.6 16v l have a new down pipe
Lambda sensor but l need a upper lambda sensor which is
no the manifold ???? can l get away with down pipe lambda senso can someone Help me

Usually the pre-cat lambda is a wide band type, though maybe not on older cars, and cannot be interchanged, wrong electronics and plug arrangements.
The post-cat lambda only serves to give an indication whether the cat has done its job or not, it does not do any controlling of the fuel. Hence there is no benefit in changing it if the pre-cat one is faulty.
Wide band types are often £70+ unfortunately.
Tony.

ive got the bravo 1.2 do they have 2 one one the exhaust and one on the engine, ifso which one is more likely to make my car unstable as in running eratic and idling around 500 rpm..i dont know which one to change..have you got a pic of both.. sorry about posting here but seen your post and im in same situation.

Anything after the cat does not control anything, it just registers a cat failure. If you have two before the cat then I dont know.
