Sorry for the major delay, but I've finally finished and posted my quick but complete guide video for removing the classic 500 engine. The only thing I forgot to show was disconnecting the throttle cable next to the choke cable. Hope it helps!!

Thank you for the video Andrew---very useful for the "1st time removers". One little point, if you are taking JUST the engine out, you don't need to do anything with the clutch or its adjustment. I also remove the rear cross-member separately, as I have found that it is a LOT easier to put the engine back sans the cross-member and re-fit it once the engine is all bolted up. When I worked at Radbourne Racing (many, many years ago) I also could just hump them around, even put them onto and off the work bench on my own. Sadly, anno domini has caught up with me, and whilst I can still heave them in and out on my own, I need a bit of assistance to put on/off the rotisserie. I have made a small wooden 'pad' that fits onto the top of the jack, and under the complete sump to give the engine good support whilst heaving it in/out. Notwithstanding, these comments---a good video---thank you.
