Thanks guys i hope u can help me out.

when driving remember to give the engine time to warm up and when about to turn off give the turbo time to cool down at low rpm.

main issues with Turbo engines are that they have a few extra items, intercooler and additional oil cooling. This is because the turbo puts a little more strain on things and creates heat. So in particular much more frequent oil level checks. Also keep a close eye on coolant levels. Regular servicing is the key to a healthy engine.

If you have not done so, then a boost gauge is advisable as it will highlight any potential problems, regarding the turbo and boost pipes etc.

If you tune the car then a rolling road session is a must. Incorrect fuelling will kill the engine. weak fuelling causing it to run too hot.
It would not harm to have these checked anyway.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks that is a big help. I would like to fit a turbo timer is it worth it and also how do i go about getting one? do i simply buy one and wire it in or does it depend on what type of alarm u have fitted?

I am planning to get it rolling roaded soon to check it is running right and to see what poer it gives out.

Thanks

Not really a need for a turbo timer.
It is more advisable to drive off boost following a spirited drive. The last mile before your intended destination. Keeping the turbo off boost will allow oil and water circulation to cool the turbo components even when the car is driving.
otherwise on reaching your destination allow the car to idle.

It is when the turbo has been pushed hard and then the car turned off that problems arise. Basically the oil left in the turbo housing cant circulate to be cooled.

Insurance companies often take a dim view regarding leaving an unattended vehicle running. ;)

I have the same car in red (will post pictures under the hood)

Can you tell me where the oil cooler and intercooler are fitted in your car.
or maybe post a picture?

By the way nice looking car.
