Hi,

I just bought myself a 2nd hand panda, 1.2 eleganza with duallogic gearbox. :D :D

Here come the problem... When i try to start the engine by turning the key sometime it works, but sometime it require me to step on the brake then turn the key, is that normal   ?? Could someone please solve this mytrey for me please???

Itried to look it up in the handbook, but then i realise the handbook that came with the car is a manual handbook...  (not sure if Fiat have actually made a duallogic handbook??)

well, the mode is in auto all the time and the gear is in N, but sometime i can start the car no problem but sometime i need to step on the brake then turn the key... kinda weird...

is there a duallogic gearbox hnadbook?? if so, can i order 1 from fiat??

Yes there is a seperate Dualogic handbook although my first one was all in Italian! Soon got one in English from the Dealer.

Yes you do have to have your foot on the brake when you start up or move the lever from N to Auto or Reverse. I have heard that some cars did have the wrong brake switch fitted so that could be worth checking.

It is possible to start with the lever in the A/M position and 1 showing on the display but common sense suggests that starting in N is wiser.
