Does anyone know if the 1.3 diesel Qubo is supposed to have an under tray for the engine? Our 2010 75 BHP doesn't.

That's the same one that's on the Trekking. They call it a skid plate, brush guard or something similar.

Thank you all for your feedback. I believe most mordern diesels now come with undertray, maybe to reduce the noise. I did think that maybe a Fiat technician m have left the tray off at PDI or something. They can be a pain when changing oil but must be of some use. Maybe Fiat chose not to include it for the (standard) Qubo to keep costs down. I'll have a look at the Trekking tray and see if it fits and if the cost is worth it.
Thanks again all.

Has anyone fitted a skid tray to their Qubo? I called my local Fiat dealer and was told they cost £117.89 + VAT. I have a 1.3 Multijet 75 Dynamic would one of these fit?

I know the Trekking has one fitted as standard but that has a higher suspension. I'd like to fit one to protect the engine bay as I know from experiance how dirty they get when a car does not have one.

Hi Jonjo,

Just a observation which may or may not be of interest......my Qubo, same mod' as yours is now just over 3 years old, with about 13000 on the clock, and the under bonnet/engine compartment is as clean now as when the car was brand spanking. It has no special cleaning, apart from a wipe dry after I have given the car a wash. I open the bonnet, and dry where the water gets in around the edges by the wings/headlights. It even looks good and clean from the bottom view looking up-wards, though that may be because I have mud flaps fitted front and rear.

Cheers Qube O. ;)

I cant see the tray doing much really engine bay wise...the trekking is only 20 odd cm's taller anyhoo and really not a true 4*4 personally I think the tray etc are just bits to make it look the part....

One quick question though Qube O...where did you get your mudflaps from?? having a real struggle finding some where i'm based in merseyside

Morning Brother Suffer & Qubist, Right, had mine fitted when car was new, genuine Fiat mud flaps, front and rear. I guess, though can't be sure, that Fiat still do them, apart from that if you look under Fiat Qubo on Ebay normally there are some sets listed on there. Hope that helps. Wish all this blessed rain would go away giving me too many aches & pains.
Cheers Qube O.

Fiat no longer lists them as a factory option and they are no longer available as accessories from Fiat.

Try a Citroen/Peugeot dealer and see if they can still get them. If not, try ebay. I got mine from someone in Poland. Not the cheapest but very fast delivery.

Morning Fellow Qubist,

Our friend from Belgium is indeed correct, it would appear that Fiat no longer list the mud flaps as a accessory, a strange move........I also noted while on the Fiat site for the Qubo that you can no longer get Leather Upholstery, which I have and find great.......perhaps folks are being more careful with their money....
Hope the flaps soon arrive, and you get them fitted o.k.
Cheers Qube O.

Hmm so I saw....daft thing was with all the hassles of my dealer ordering the wrong model (should have been a trekking...mylife instead) I liked the look of the roof bars..mine no longer has them fitted apparently

happy enough without now though...
