Hi, has anybody fitted (or can they be fitted) one of them push button engine starts, to a Bravo. I have been on fastfiat.com and in the Bravo section they are selling one for £39, i thought that with Bravos the ECU needs to detect a key in the ignition to start the car, so what is the point of one of these!!!!!!!! I like the idea but not much point if you still need the key in ignition. My car is a Bravo 1.4SX 1997 (P reg)anybody got any suggestions?????????????

big red button

Hi

In our country (Slovenia) the "Big Red Button" from the Honda S2000:

On the picture is a Honda Civic, but it was done in many other cars. And as far as i know, it can't work without the contact, so you need to turn your key till contact, the ECU reads it and than you start it.

That's how people did it here...

i hope i helped...

Re: big red button

Riclemus did this in his last Bravo. He'll be at the crimbo meet so you could ask him there or e-mail him.

I have one!

I have a push button start, but yes i do still have to put the key in and turn it on, and most of the time i use the key anyway, it was a bit of a waste of money really, but is quite cool for a bit of a pose! hehe

you have to have the key in ignition to do it. i rescued it from the last bravo so might find time this week to put it in the new car. was easy to fit.

p.s. this sundays advances are meshed grille and air horns. cool.

Button

You can get a S2000 button starter from mx5parts.co.uk - I got one for the mx5 - time consuming to fit but pretty easy.
