I would hope that you would notice quite a difference pretty quickly... -- but, if you flush the gearbox through, as MEP suggested, above... -- then the way the car drives should be a revelation! There is no smoother auto gearbox around...!

Drove it a little, seems like a slight improvement but still revs more than it accelerates

Thats what a CVT box is designed to do though, if you floor it revs should jump run to a set amount (4500-5000rpm) and sit there as the car speeds up.

So kick down is not like true autos and the select bit isn't snappy?

It is, just kicks the revs up, and lowers the gearbox ratio's at the same time, and then the gearbox adjusts ratio's to increase vehicle speed.

Will try that and after 3 bottles it looks overfilled so will let a little out tomorrow

don't let it out untill you have checked it warm and moved stick through all positions pausing at each one for a few seconds.

Will take it for gentle drive and then check it again

Exactly the same description as my dad gave when he first drove a Panda Selecta. Sounds like its working spot on then, takes some getting used to.

i always drove mine foot nearly to the floor till speed limit reached, then foot off then back on gently to maintain speed

The sound of the engine accelerating and the car trying to catch up would drive me crazy. Bit of old geezer drving in this I think lol

If you want to put your foot down then floor it, if you want a more leasurly drive then do as you say

But it takes ages to go anywhere when I floor it, I need instant response or leisurely drive. I think I can do both
