punto speedgear cvt gearbox selector issue help

yes all indicators,brake lights etc are working as they should so not earth fault


understand 100% where your coming from dave about part
car booked in on Thursday at mr gearbox for full soak test

WHO IS mr gearbox? SOUNDS DODGY

Just googled mr gearbox, its part of mr clutch, ran away never take your car to one of them

I have had a word with a qualified fiat det and he says its most likely to be the sensor on the gearbox end, it sits on the gear shift shaft coming out of the box. i sold my spare one of them already, you could try unplugging yours and giving it a spray with comtact cleaner.
where do you live? i have fes and can check codes and stuff

i live in Sheffield near meadow hall
been told its the transmission range sensors
got a code reader and getting p0705 gearbox input module error DPRNL

where the sensor you talking about located under bonnet on shaft coming out of gearbox ?
or under gear shift its self under car etc
whats a fes ?
what area you at dave ?

used mr gearbox a few times never had any issues
did not know part of mr clutch never heard that one ?

i am way down in essex, i'll try and get a photo of where the sensor is

right it like vagcom etc
yes i got a code reader that puts faults up and clears them etc
shame essex a few mile away closet i go to you is watford area wd18 with work
yes appreciate a picture of location
daughter drove it all day today with no faults
so deffo electrical issue
she just passed on full auto so can only drive it in full auto mode
tip tronic side a bit to advanced for her at min :yuck:

here is photo,

as you can see the holes in it make its position adjustable so if you fit a new one yo may need fes to set it up. try spraying it with wd40 see if that helps

yes i found it tuesday and sprayed it with wd 40 been fine up to now
deffo think it was bad weather last week that caused its issues

can i put dextron 2 atf in cvt gearbox or is it special atf

no no no, you must use Tutela CVT NG. other fluids will kil the box
