My punto mk2 does not have a rev counter on my speedo, can i install the speedo with a rev counter into it?

yes you can, ill explain breifly cause its late! but if you search you'll find out more.
find a mk2 with revcounter.
make sure the milage is lower than yours.
take it to fiat, get it proxy alligned expect upto £80.
and there you go sorry it's a bit breif!

hey as above can be done needs to be from a mk2 not a mk2b so basically the speedo must be on the right hand side and rev counter on the left.
but all you do is remove the old one unplug plug new one in and fit, then get it proxey aligned in fiat

If you want a cheaper option, you can buy just a single tachometer off ebay, which sits on top of the dash or, on the windscreen pillar. You just run a wire, don't know where to exactly, but i presume to the same place as a speedo with a rev counter.

I think you could probs get one from ebay for like 10 or 15 quid.

That was a cue for someone to come in who actually knows what they're talking about!:D
like MEP said, theres a few wires to choose from. the rev counter will have 4 wires one ignition/switchable, one negative, one live-these three you can get from the cigarette lighter, but its easier to just earth the negative. then you have the signal wire that has to go to one of the ecu wires i have no idea what one it is. cause you cant use the coil on a punto because there's 2.
EDIT: just been looking into it more and i believe that the signal wire you need to tap into is black with a purple stipe. but dont hold me to if it isnt! id just splice it not cut it!
