looking for nothing too fancy.. got mk1 punto just looking to replace the standard speakers with something that'll drop straight into where they came from... looking for a good deal on them too (if anybody has any leads on where i'd get one).. think they are 87mm up front and 100mm in the back... any recommendations?

Oh and i've got a kenwood kdc-m4524 head unit

Hi

Look on Ebay or Dabs.com for the 8.7 cm speakers, there are Pioneer, Alpine and Kenwood speakers that I have seen that fit right into the front speaker mounts in the dash of the Punto and have been designed specifically for the Punto, they normally set you back about £20 inc P+P and will be better than the factory ones

For the back speakers look here:

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/default.php?cPath=292_299_691

These are adaptors that increase the size of the speaker to 13cm, although i haven't got one of these myself I will be defiantely getting them in March so I can put some 13 cm speakers in the back

At the moment I have (Supposedly) the best sounding Alpines 10cm speakers that cost alot of £'s and they are past it, the bass is awful as are tweets, the extra 3cm will give you a little more flexibility and power with bass

Ebay is always a good bet for speakers and Fiat Parts as not all stuff is used, sometimes you even get a good bargain

I'd look there first for good deals on speakers

Cheers

Jamie

MotorWorld have JBL speakers on offer at the mo, which includes the 8.7cm ones to fit Punto's for £20, and the 13cm ones for £30 which you can use with those adaptors.
Their website is www.motor-world.co.uk

MY GOODNESS!... halfords are actually offering those adaptors for £8.99 at the moment... have to order them in but still... couldn't believe that they were cheaper than the online quote!... think i'm definately going to get those JBL speakers for the front, sounded not bad in the halfords display... the rear speakers will have to wait for another pay day...
