hi all,

Ive taken the bump strips off and the 2 lines of rubbery glue crap on the sides but im left with hard rubbery stuff which would of been in the middle of the bump strips, its probably been covered alot here so just quickly what would get it off the best?

im just looking for info please dont flame or be smart arses,

thanks

mike

ive tried that stuff already but it only seems to take of the very top of the rubber, like ive put on 3 or so coats and its done sod all except make the rag a little bit black (n)

naa this stuffs hard as mike tyson tried scraping, even with a razor blade, just chipped a bit off my paint :cry::cry:

could possibly be from someone refitting them, strange thing is the two glue strips where still there and only a little blob on the passanger side but bloody loads on the drivers side, its a pain in the arse, i did try quickly with the hair dryer but it seemed to not work great :-/

Have you tried lots of T-cut and a rough sponge? Seemed to work when I took mine off :) whatever you're going to use, it's going to take awhile...

mentholated spirits, just keep soaking it on to a cloth and rub it in to the glue, my daughter done her own and only took her about an hour all in to clean both sides of her car :)

sorry dave i missed your first two posts lol

a toffee wheel? will it scratch the living fook out my paintwork?
