General Punto Mk1 passenger headlight not working!!

Hey all,

i have a bit of a problem, i bought a new car punto mk1 1997 1.2 and my drivers side headlight works fine on dipped headlight, main beam etc. But my passenger side only works when i use the flasher, when i use main beam it doesn't work when i use dipped beam still nothing.

I was wondering if i can swap the driver side bulbs (the working bulbs) with the not working bulbs will that help find my problem to see if the bulbs have blown?

Well it doesn't sound like you bulb has gone as the flasher as you say is the main beam bulb (flashing out)..

when you put it on main beam does both lights stay on or is only the driver side work..

If this is the case then you could have a loose wire behind the headlight..

it proberbly is your bulb on the standard lights they are dual element so one part can go and the other work .. i.e. the main beam can work butthe dipped doesnt or vice versa .. this is because both beams come from just one bulb that has to elements .. so yeah its defo you bulb .. if i right .. give me thanks please vvvv

To SimonUK: When i put it on the main beam they both work when i take it off only my driver side " dipped beam" works.

To 01goddak: I think its the dual bulbs gone too are these cheap to get?. I live in the UK (manchester) so UK suppliers only please lol.

mate you local halfords motrist discount or anythung like that you only need one so maybe £10 max .. but if oyu can get them both done otherwise one may be brighter than the other! .. if your on a REAL budget .. srapyard ..

Hey your correct the bulb had blown, its not to big 1 its the small one so im guessing dipped headlight?
