Styling punto mk1 gearstick back to standard

hi all

i brought a mk1 punto gearknob and gaitor off ebay and when it arrived this mornin its still attached to the metal stick

is there any way i can get the knob and gaitor off in 1 piece so i can put it on my stick?

Just pull really hard.

(Might depend on what one you have)

Otherwise just swap the sticks over.
