In a word, no!

It was basically 55SX specification minus the electric windows and central locking, but instead they had the 6-speed box and body colour bumpers

If it doesnt have a split rear seat and the SX does then how come mine doesnt? all i have is a one piece fold down, and no 60/40

I would guess so mate, mine is a 96/97 P reg and has the 60/40 split seats.

As has been said, the Punto SX lost it's split seats in the '97 facelift.

I thought the 55EL did have a split rear seat, just like the SX of the time. Could be wrong, though. Just like in 1982...
