I have a 1999 Mk1 Punto with a bonnet that won't open. The cable came out of the lever a few weeks ago, so I have used a pair of pliers to pull the cable a couple of times. Now however the cable seems to be longer inside the driving compartment (it reaches the lever easily!) but no amount of pulling will make it open the bonnet. It isn't actually moving through the sleeve at all.
I need to get a new thermostat in asap, so any help in getting this bonnet open would be greatly appreciated!!
