just a quickie on a problem my punto had and i think is now solved.
i had the dreaded random miss fire problem .
tried all the usual suspects ,coils leads plugs ecu, to no avail.
any way had a puncture on rear rh wheel and while changing could smell petrol .
up on investigation found the wheel had rubbed through the vent pipes nr the filler.
next night pulled the sender/pump unit out and found water and crap in the fuel.
cleaned the tank out and filters and hopefully thats it cured
