Hi,

Im new to all this. When looking to buy a punto 2001 sporting, i saw that it wasnt the standard cd player u can get from argos.in other words it looked like u couldnt get an argos cd player in.....am i wrong?

what i meant was, can u pull out the blaupunkt unit and put a new one in?

You can replace the factory headunit with an aftermarket version with a facia adaptor to take up the gap and possibly a wiring harness to wire it in.

This is correct, just dont go putting a £29.99 argos radio in there.. ;)

why? do it your self! lol :) very easy.

Buy the fascia adaptor, and it should plug in, be surprised if its not standard iso connection.
No need for a harness adaptor (iso leads) you'll need a facia which is £13.95 from halfrauds or £5 on ebay

you'll also need a set of audio keys that you prod in the holes either side of the place where the tape goes in. they are about £4
they look a but like this:

then it's just a case of pulling out the old one unplugging one lead plugging in the new one and shoving it all back in the hole...
