General Punto Cabrio - what to look for

Hi all. I am getting sad in my old age and quite fancy taking on a Punto cabrio. Partially because of the relative simplicity and potential cheap running costs - I have a 1993 Merc SL500 which has been the biggest pain in the xxxx ever. Had a couple of Barchettas before but the Punto has a certain charm.

Looking at a 1.2 16v auto which seems to be solid and not bad.

Anything to watch for especially with these? (other than usual old car checks)

replacement panels are almost impossible to get, they were built by bertone and not fiat.. so you want/need to find one without rust.

Other than that i don't have much knowledge of the cabbie tbh.

its got the right engine but they have the old powder clutch ctv box. look for kit/donor car to convert it to manual.
