Went today to Prestige audio in rickmansworth to get an idea of a price for a boot build i was stunned!
They said its £40 an hour plus materials and would take 2 days to do a custom install so would be £800, even a basic tidy up was £300 plus materials and that was only tidy up wires in the boot, put amp rack in and false floor, where can i get this done for a reasonable price? i just dont have time to do it myself and want it to be a good professional job!
PLEASE HELP!

Your lucky, got quoted £23,000, (in front of witnesses), for an install and that was with all equipment provided. Their arguement being that the Punto is a hard car to stop all vibrations etc.

So started messing my self and am enjoying it may not look totally professional but the feeling of satisfaction is much better.

Sorry did not answer your question.

This was with all equipment provided and no sound proofing or anything literally tidy up the wiring put in false floor and stop the engine interferance im getting everynow and then , only if there was someone who could tell me what i need to do to stop the interferance and run the 3rd rca lead from my headunit without it making terrible interferance, i could get someone to do the floor etc!

I have run all my RCA lead through the central consal, along side the gears etc.,and the power cable along the door sill and have no problems with interference.

Just had a thought the only time I had any trouble was when the earth point I was using was not good enough every now and again I would get interference just cleaned the earth point retightend and had no trouble since.

Il give it a try do those noise suppressors help at all, il have a look at my earths n stuff where would u say the best place to earth them is?
Would it be best to drill a hole in the floor and mount it there? Thanx again for everyones help much appreciated

For those sort of charges, I would do it myself. You could do it in stages, as and when you have time for it?

Sounds fine to me, your paying for the companies facilties, tools and know how plus their time obviously and being 2005 it isn't hard to swallow.

One of my mates had a new HU and Amp fitted, false floor in boot, Dynamat and that Ipod interface fitted to his Civic, 3 days later = £900!
