:bang: Hiya everyone I have just joined forum and looking for any help... has anyone had serious probs with power steering. I have been quoted anything from £500 -£800 for work on car... power steering light on and no power steering at all, also a kinda thumping noise when driving it... garage say its steering column probs and electrics and this is quote they gave.... is this a problem fiat have... only 40.000 miles on clock. tahnks for any help offered. surely I have comeback on Fiat.

yer it is a issue the electric power steering so maybe it's time for a column

well sadly we have decided after checking out with various mechanics garages etc we are going to trade our punto active, quotes for replacment and repair £500-£800 for the steering column. car only 4yr old and 40000 mls. Lets hope our next one is better. As you say its time for a "COLUMN"
you can buy re-manufactured units now alot cheaper.
