If the Uno you are fitting it to runs a carburettor then you will need to fit an electric fuel pump. The Punto 75 camshaft doesn't have the lobe to drive the mechanical fuel pump needed on carb'ed FIREs. If you have an "i.e." model then you will already have an electric fuel pump so this won't be an issue.

You will also need to check the valve clearances once fitted and will almost certainly need to re-shim some/ most of the valves. The Haynes manual shows you how to do this so it would be a good idea to get one if you don't have one already.

Good luck! :)

Owning an Uno and not haveing a haynes manual is madness lol, i have two as i lost one for a few weeks ha!

i have done this swap which was easy and improved top end a bit.

You'll need to check the clearences as Chas said, i have them written down somewhere, i'll dig them out and post them up here if you need them?

Okay, bearing in mind the clearences need to be done when cold.

The Uno 1.0 clearences are:

Inlet: 0.25 - 0.35mm
exhaust: 0.35 - 0.45mm

Punto 75 clearences are:

Inlet: 0.35 - 0.45mm
Exhaust: 0.45 - 0.55mm

hope that helps.

You need to put sili gasket in the inner edges where the dizzy goes and on the other side or you'll get oil leaks :p
