General  Pump up the volume

General  Pump up the volume

Well i dont no if this is connected but on the dignostic machine there is an option for a different audio system and if its set wrong then the volume on your vehicle drops to about half it used to be.... Most dealer mess about and set this up wrong.

It seemed very likely to me it would be a configuration setting, as it was fine until it had been in the workshop - and after they had enabled the A/V sockets for me - and so would have been in with the Examiner unit changing settings. I printed out all the relevant posts on this subject from this forum and the EV2 forum and gave them to the dealer, but they said they had specifically checked all the menu settings, including the speaker/external amplifier one and they are correct. I can't imagine what else it could be though - if it was a built-in amplifier fault it seems odd it would be running at reduced output - more likely to fail altogether I would have thought. I am now considering fitting my own external amplifier to get round it, unless Fiat offer any further help - I wrote to customer services but no reply as yet. I'm assuming a replacement RT3 will be an astronomic cost and it still basically works, just not loudly enough!

Tell the dealer this :- Using Examiner Go to :- Marelli PSA Connect, Then Goto:- Manual Configuration, Then Goto:- Options and change The:- HIFI System Connection to OFF Then Write this to the system. Then check the volume. Hope this works :) Note. If it is on OFF Try ON
