Recently when pulling away off my driveway, the engine seems to pull and shudder slightly, as if I wasnt quite engaging the biting point on the clutch (but I am!)
Once on the road all is fine and pullling away from other situations has no problems.
Any ideas at all please?

Hi, you could check the engine mounts/ stabiliser bars. If the bush's became worn , then as the clutch starts to bite, the slack is taken up, the clutch slips, the engine moves back, and then the cycle starts all over again, hence the judder. I have had it on 2 different cars, would only happen now and then, and only when cold.

clutch judder either clutch contaminated , warped flywheel or humped clutch but worn clutch would slip worse when hot.

excess play on a dmf rattles especially when starting or turning off engine
