The van was bought as a non runner, it was a starter motor so van starts and runs the airbag module was missing its an x ambulance so thinking somebody took the module out thinking it was linked to the ambulance electronics fitted and programmed that ok, the rear suspension is stuck down i’m guessing its due to not
Being able to communicate around the Can signals. Sent cluster for repair as originally I had no can communication turned out the cluster isn't programmed to the van so tried the proxy alignment and this is the position i am in now.
i have found a 2 pin connector today near the airbag module just wondering if that goes somewhere.
The van is fitted with a side step which is no longer in place and the battery isolator switch is now removed.
Thanks
Sounds like fairly involved job you have taken on.

Re the two pin connector, don't just bridge it as if it is to do with abs sensors etc. one thing I do know is my daughter bought a Fiat Punto Evo that previous owner had tried to repair the passenger seat occupancy sensor as Fiat wanted around £140 I think. However what ever he did bypassed the resister and totally destroyed the BCM, not the air bag module as on that vehicle it is all done by the BCM.
I managed to get a new unused BCM same numbers from eBay (very lucky) then bought a chinese occupancy sensor for £6. and soldered the old resistor into the new sensor double tested it and refitted to seat base, used my friends Snap On diagnostic tool and did the "proxi alignment" deleted any old error codes and it has run fine for several years.
Sounds like a process of elimination for you, maybe disconnect items, do a proxi alignment so it knows they are not there and see if you can find what is the cause.
As I understand it with the CanBus system it uses just two wires Can High and Can Low as a "twisted pair" to talk to all the items on the circuit between ECUs/BCMs etc and if something has been removed then it can't follow that process.
For example if someone removes a seat and just leaves the plug off it throws up an error, although some people advertise connectors to "fix " that, probably just a resister, OK if you know what the issue is.
