so with sites like gocompare, comparethemarket ect many may think that ringing round is out dated... let me tell you it isnt!

1stly my renewal from admiral.... 1200 great british pounds :O

few searches on gocompare came up with 1087, fully comp with elephant.

Ringing up adrian flux... 990 tpft :/

rang up brentacre and they where closed.

I was close to accepting adrian flux tpft... untill i rang elephant.
980 pounds... great i thought, untill i was told that elephant and admiral where infact the same company.

so i got put through to admiral and argued my case. i told them that in the original conversation i was told that admiral can not equal elephants quote, and that their renewal was 1100, or 1200 on the website...

after much on hold music (some classical stuff, greensleves i think)

they came back with £970... result..



so ringing up does work. thats the best thing that the younger driver can do

I always phone up, get the best price online and see if they can do any better...xyz is a little cheaper, can you beat it? Works well too.

Admiral matched my elephant quote on renewal last year.

They always match mine, tip tho is if your with Admiral, change you DOB buy about 10 days on comparison websites they you will get a quote from Admiral.

I did this as admiral wanted to charge me about £800 for my renewal. Got a quote from them on a comparison website for £500, rang them up and told them they didn't just match it they also dropped it further!

hi you selves where very very helpful but could only provide the quote tpft, admiral have matched elephants which was fully comp. dont worry i will be ringing you in the future on another car that i will be buying to see what you can offer
