proof of quote, before or after accepting?

I've got a good insurance quote online that chris knott said they will match and alow 'drive any car'. The first quote doesnt have legal cover but they said they will match it anyway. I need to get insurance for tomorrow afternoon and setting off to collect the car at 7.00am. I am going to accept this quote but they are closed until 9.am now. They said that they will need a screenshot of the quote (of which i have) but will they need to see proof of other quote before taking payment or after as i could call them on the way to get the car. Pretty sure they ask for proof after and if i do not provide it, insurance is void, but not sure.

Nothing like leaving things to the last second.

If its for a 'new to you' car ie one youve just bought Get a 7 day insurance free from Aviva then you'll have a whole week to sort it out

That would have been a good idea. Got it sorted on the way to get it. Went with chris knott and all done over the phone in 5 mins. First time in 5 years they have given me a reasonable quote.

i'll have too look into that too, handy thing to know about!

i like to try and plan ahead and do things properly these days, arrange the quote ready to go, view the car and if it's what i want give the go ahead before i drive off
