Well that's good, but your pop knowledge isn't - Ronan was in Boyzone not the wets.

My mind is full of useless stuff like that.

You selling the van then to get the Italia 90?

I call dibs on the 4x4 :)

I bow to your superior knowledge of crappy boy bands (it was a deliberate ploy to weed them out).

I wouldn't buy the van how she is at the moment.

Rule 1 - Never try to sell something you wouldn't buy.

Six months ago when I bought the car I must have been wearing rose tinted glasses. She's a bit of a pile so any possible guilt about "Project Peterborough" has dissipated. ;)

I'll write a short list later, but this weekend I'll be rebuilding the axle and chipping filler from the sills. :banghead:

If for some or the other reason your 4x4 van list will be too long for CLS, keep me posted as I don't mind doing some welding. Good luck with rear axle re-build.

I hope it's just the brakes. I wonder if my Punto GT bits will fit? ;)

I don't think anyone who owns a Fiat minds welding. I started with Minis and MG's so it's not an issue for me. The only trouble is I was hoping to get started restoring my Fantasia and use the 4x4 over Winter. Still it's good practice for when I do start on the restoration.

Why? surely a rebuild would be cheaper than the postage on that?

If it's only slightly broke don't fix it with that

Just because you can is not a valid reason! :p

Obviously I'd build it myself or I'm up the road from Karl at Wisbech engineering (specialist Hotrod builders) if I need advice help or an off the shelf kit I can adapt.

I've been thinking about colour again...

...Firecracker Blue and a two tone green.

It would be a nightmare to maintain but my traditional project colours are...

...violet body with yellow trim and bumpers?

My old 4x4 used to wheel stand when I did that. I did it at a set of traffic lights once and scared my sister so much she refuses to get anywhere near the van. ;)

Turns out the silicone repair to the exhaust was the tip of this cars iceberg.

The drivers side rear arch is a combination of...

...black silicone and filler.

I got my nephew to help weld up a few holes in the rear load area floor and we made a deck for it out of a sheet of MDF.

I was going to tackle the fuel tank today but the driveway was too wet form valeting my brothers car.

With thinners and activator it should come in at a raw material cost of less than £100. Just months of prep' work, sanding, priming, sanding, priming, sanding, priming....

....still it's for a 4x4 so the final finish isn't that important. ;)

Nearly killed the van today. The puddle didn't look four feet deep. ;)

WD40, emptied the water out of airbox and removed the rubber pipe. Coaxed the old girl home on three and a half cylinders. ;)

Video later. :)
