Hi Folks, Just wondered if any of you has had any problems related to the DPF unit on the 1.3MJD 75HP Qubo ?, I'm not even sure if the 75HP has a DPF fitted, mine is June 2009 registered, I've a idea that they may only have fitted to newer engines. Also I understand that the 95HP has them fitted as standard, to help the engine emissions meet the new EU regs.
Cheers Qube O.;)

Hi I have an 09 july registered 1.3 mjet no DPF fitted. Had my car nearly 3 years now and still love it!

Hi Folks, Thanks for your replies. I did wonder about this, reason being, I have heard of a dealer who is suggesting that these cars of ours are going to suffer from DPF problems, which I found strange as I was fairly sure the 75HP did'nt have DPF fitted.
Perhaps the dealer is trying to drum up custom.
Great car, Cheers Qube O.

I believe all 1.3 Multijet's have a DPF fitted now, but it was still an option when the Qubo went on sale so many of the initial 1.3 75bhp Qubo's didn't have one. All 95bhp Qubo's will have the DPF as this engine was introduced later, but on the 75bhp it's best to check any car before purchase as some will have it & some won't, depending on age or whether the owner specified it as an option (y) (not sure why anyone would)

There's abit of a question mark on how DPF's will last long-term, but that's more of a general problem with DPF's affecting all modern cars, not specifically Fiat's or the Qubo. The only real trouble i've heard of with Fiats DPF's is on some 1.3 75 Multijet 500s that spent too long driving round town without a motorway blast and the 2.0 165 Multijet Bravo's, which seem to cause trouble no matter what driving you do. This seems to have been cured on the 2.0 140/170 Multijet fitted to the Alfa Giuilietta, thankfully.

If possible i'd always try & go for a diesel without a DPF but soon we won't be able to avoid them unfortunately :(
