General problem with radio display lighting

All,

Since today i am the prowd owner of a marea 1.6 elx sedan. I have one problem. The cars is equipped with the standard (cheapest version) radio cassette player. When i get out and lock the car i notice that the diplay of the radio is still lit and the clock shows clearly. I have tried it all and pushed every button but the lights stays on. Anybody has any suggestions? I guess it can stay on for a night without it draining the battery right?

you are switching the radio off aren't you?

The radio does not switch off with the ignition.
