I know how he feels, my Brava 1.4SX has been a disaster, the problem is I can't afford to replace it, but it's cost me some scary money over the last 18 months, here goes: -
Driveshaft boot perished, leaked fluid, driveshaft broke, repaired under second hand car warranty.
Front wipers stopped working, linkage stuffed, new motor and linkage and fitting £160, not covered by warranty. The Fiat garage managed to crack the windscreen while doing this, so they replaced that.
New camshaft, as the old one got shagged due to dodgy oil, plus new timing belt, plugs, plug leads and fanbelt £240
Driveshaft boot clip came adrift, just managed to avoid another broken driveshaft £20
New clutch and fitting £140
New front disks, pads, rear shoes and fitting £100
Various replacement bulbs, as they keep blowing
