when i press the button on my key the alarm turns on/off (i know this because of the dash light and indicator flashes), but no longer locks or opens a door,it tries to move them but doesn't seem to have the power to un lock or lock them, not a major problem. but every time i leave the car, it keeps beeping and trying lock itself with the cental locking till the battery runs flat.
Fiat want 68 pound just to tell me there's a problem!
has anyone had this happen to them? any advice, or is there a wire or fuse i can disonnect which will turn the alarm/central locking off till i can afford to get it repaired?

i've just double checked it, the central locking works fine off the key so i don't think that's the problem,
when i put the alarm on though it gives me a third beep to indicate that something is still open? anyone know where the sensors sre, i've found the bonnet one and i'm gonna check that now.

all of the place most likely mate. the one for your doors will be linked to the little switches that tell your interior light when to come on. if you have motion sensors, or tilt sensors they could be anywhere! you might have a diagram from the installer showing where everything is. That'd be your best bet.
i know where most of mine are, but i'm not about to tell the whole world...
