When the car is stationary and the car is starting to overheat the fan should kick in in front of the radiator, but its not. When you lift the bonnet and touch the fan it will start moving and work, but it just wont start on its own. Its as though is is stuck on something or just stiff.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be or what i could do to solve the problem

many thanks

Hi Tom

How much do you reckon im gonna get stung for anew fan?

Someone was telling me to use WD40 on it to release it, or take it off and give it a good clean. Do you not think that will work or am i just wasting my time

Thanks

They are usually sealed so you might not be able to get it apart. Try a scrapyard or one of the many national parts breakers for a replacement.
