Technical Pressure and Temperature Sensor thread sizes

Greetings,

Before I go and splash out my hard earned, can anyone tell me the specific thread size and pitch of the 126 engine crankcase Oil Pressure Transmitter Fitting???

Also, I need to know the specific thread size and pitch of the Oil Temperature Sensor location on the 'Abarth' branded 4L alloy sump???

I have the correct 'Jaeger' instruments, but some dimwit has fitted the wrong sensors and they are rather expensive (the probable reason for not fitting them) otherwise I'll have to drain the oil!!!
Thanks in advance.

Ian.
Digging up an old thread here but I have the same cluster on my car and I have no oil pressure reading. I do have a red light that comes on but when the engine is started the warning light goes off quickly but thats as much as it does. i don't get any oil pressure reading at all. Any help or advice of where to start would be appreciated!

Hi Plantpot, it sounds as if you only have the original single pressure switch, check behind the dizzy and see what is fitted. Check back through the thread and you will note that you will need a dual sensor that will accommodate your gauge.
Ian.

Martin has an oil-line coming from the oil-pressure take-off on the side of the crankcase up to a manifold fitted on the underside of the parcel-shelf. Both the pressure 'idiot-light' sensor AND the oil-pressure-gauge sensor is screwed into that manifold. As he has mentioned, the 'idiot-light' works, so it could be the gauge sensor (which looks quite old) that is faulty. The wiring behind the instrument cluster is a bit of a bird's-nest, so sorting THAT out could be a bit of a nightmare (to put it mildly!). A replacement sensor unit is not that expensive, and easy to get at, so that would probably be the most logical thing to try first. To get at the gauge, the whole cluster would have to be removed, and if the securing bolts/studs are anything like mine, it will not be 5-minute job!
