General Poweritalia or Motormech ?

Hi,

Difficult choice? Jobs to be done: New clutch, N/S/F ABS sensor and a new thermostat...£700 Motormech Birmingham + £60 fuel to get there and back...or Poweritalia Essex £608 + £20 fuel. I have had lots of work done at Motormech but it's such a long way to go and Essex is so much nearer and a little cheeper...Can anyone who has had work done at Poweritalia tell me of their experiences?

Well I can only comment on power italia who did my clutch and will be doing my cam belt, front springs and front pads and disks next week.
Roger is superb. Knows his stuff and I can highly recommend him as he really knows his stuff.
From other peoples comments on other threads, both come highly recommended.

Poweritalia are IMO the best specialists in the world for the Fiat coupé. I've never been either. Just feedback from others through the years.

Gotta be frank, i always take my marea 20v to Power italia, and they have had all my 20v's since 2005, can't fault them Rog is a knowledge base like no other and always willing to help you out!

Agreed. As a man who has spent a fair few quid with him in the last month! ;-)

Never used PowerItalia but heard good things - I've been to Pauls for years even at his original workshop and live close to Brum so Motormech for me. Paul looks after all our cars and he's always been brilliant!

been to poweritalia a few times with my 20v turbo coupe, they did my wishbones and droplinks and also sorted me out with a bang tidy exhaust, just a shame i moved back upto leeds....nevermind, turin motors it is then lol.

i would highly recommend that if you are near Brum try giving joe at FCSS a call.
based just outside of hereford
Coupe specialist- not limited to coupes though,
great guy- goes above and beyond
Has many warehouses of spares and anything he doesnt have he can get it.

And it is a great drive down to his place which is marked by neat looking italian marque signs from the main road junctions
