had my punto hgt for about a year now and only now is my power steering cuting out every so often,sometimes its abit scarey and have have to pullover to restart the car again an it goes fine, any one with the same problem.............

Rather than assuming that this is a problem with the power steering itself, it could be a problem with the battery. I have heard that the power steering can disable itself when the battery starts failing. (happened to a member on another forum before).
