Panda Power Steering Problem

I have read some of the posts regarding loss of power steering, and as my battery was new last year don't think it can be that. It is an intermitent problem and happened again twice today. If not the battery what else could it be? Do I need to be worried and is it time to get rid of the car? I am new to this so please be kind.

How do you know its not the battery? Have you had it drop tested?

Age isn't a sign of functionality, it could have failed.

Failing that it could be wiring at fault, or the column itself.

Mine was cured by cleaning and lubricating the connections at the battery poles
