Technical power steering leak

hi guys - I have a '01 Brava 1.2 HSX that is in great condition, having only covered 36K and been in the family since new. Sunday morning started it up and heard a loud groan - knew it was PAS pump - sure enough fluid was dripping out from a switch on the side of the pump. Checked main dealer today and they say complete new pump, many dollars ! any ideas? can post photo later.

Pressure sensor on the pump most likely gone. Far cheaper than a new pump
