Tuning Power control module upgrade

Hi All,

I have a standard 1.4 bravo (09 plate) which has been recently serviced by my local fiat garage who are telling me that there is a power module upgrade. Apparently the upgrade will increase the performance and economy. Has anyone had this done and if so is it worth having it done?

Is a power module upgrade a different way of saying ECU remap? If so then yes you will get some gains. But nothing major unless your car has a turbo? What engine does it have?

I don't know that's what I wondered. I'll have to call the garage tomorrow. Just wanted to know if would be worth having it done. Mine is the 1.4 90hp so anything gained will be worth it ☺

Will need to notify your insurance company I'd advise, might be worth doing that first as they may not be willing to cover you if you have it done, or will want more ££££
