Hi
I'm a vintage car mechanic in Houston Texas. I've got a customer with a 1968 Fiat 500 Gardiner. He just got the car and it has a unusual suspension problem.
The rear wheels have extreme postive camber (that is the top of the wheels stick out further than the bottom of the wheel).
I've had the car on the lift and nothing looks amiss in the rear suspension. The bushings seem okay, and I don't see any signs of collision damage or bending in the suspension arms.
I did notice that it has brand new shock absorbers, could this be the problem?
The car has all the signs of being quickly prettied up for sale. The entire underside has recently been painted black.
The only new components I see are the shocks. The springs are definitely old.
Any ideas out there?
