Whats a desktop? - I'm stuck on a SPARC all day

Change your settings, I have 5 posts with desktop screenshots on ???

And windows 7 desktop looks cleaner than xp /vista so it has a lot to do with it

Of course, the very mention of your desktop (not desktops) presumes the use of an inferior operating system (or a very memory heavy hack in Windows). Here's one of mine:

They only last 3 years iirc and you can use it on 3 machines so somebody might share it but i doubt it, too expensive to replace if you get your liscence suspended, especially on a students budget.

iirc you have to be on a computing degree to have access to this, college students get discounted versions but not free ones.

no. MS let computing students have it for nothing as if we are educated using their products, we are more likely to develop for and recomend them in our future careers.

FYI i pay tax and national insurance too, as do any students - and it's not like its the 1980's anymore, students don't get grants

im afraid we can get grants now you just have to fill in many impossible long forms and so are only available to people who don't have jobs and can sit in front of a computer all day
