Possible clutch, thrust bearing and cam belt?

I am in a bit of a dialemma with baby fiat!

The clutch (as in previous posts) seems to be going so i want to replace it before it becomes worse and breaks the gearbox, i am quite handy, have ramps etc and was thinking is this a difficult job to do on your own?

I am guessing (please correct me if i am wrong) but would i also be better off replacing the thrust bearing?

How much would you say roughly for parts only?

As for the cambelt, the car has covered 55k, i do 450 miles a week and am wanting to check it but how dificult is it to check the cam belt on a 1.6 SX (2000 W reg)

Cheers guys

Mike

its difficult only because you have to remove the gearbox, but if your handy then id say your good to go.
i would highly recommend you change thrustbearing at the same time as, usually if not , the power of the new clutch will break the weak bearing.
as for cambelt, dont bother checking as , you cannot tell when it is about to break visually,if in in doubt always change, and if its not been done before then its well over due.
