1.6 dynamic poor idle after change of timing belt?
Hey guys I need help.
I went to the mechanic to change my timing belt he charged me £230 kit and labour.
First time they did it(it took them 2 hours) they havent done it properly and the car was working on 2 cylinders so I took it back right away and they tried again
second attempt
got the car back that evening the mechanic said all fine however straight away I noticed that the idle was poor only 850 rpm and going up and down when stationary between 800 and 850 RPM
Took the car back again
third attempt mechanic said they checked everything but first time when it was working on 2 cylinders they broke ignition coils changed all 4 had to pay £140

.Got the car back today its steady at 850rpm but it vibrates again so much that the bonett vibrates too when car is on:bang:
When I press the gas it works fine on 950 rpm and doesnt vibrate is that the perfect idle for stilo dynamic 1.6??
as I forgot what it was when it was working properly. What should I do next where should I take the car?? to a fiat dealer?? please help guys. :worship:
Will computer diagnostics help solve the problem as the mechanic said that maybe the ecu should be reseted

He said that if I take it to fiat dealer and they say the timing belt is out he will give me my money back for timing belt.:worship::worship::worship::worship:
I GAVE HIM THE INSTRUCTIONS I got from 12x
in my experience this is likely to be timing related.. if they were a tooth or 2 out .. that ticking noise is what you get..and it is easy to make the mistake too (timing kit comes with a crank template/holder.. template is supposed to a. fix crank during timing belt change and b. align the crank to
tdc.. this is how
fiat procedure describes its use.. problem is - crank timing marks are always off on petrols.. so that template sets wrong
tdc.. this is why
fiat places don't use it.. a
tdc tool is used instead... if they did not use a
tdc tool but followed the rest of the procedure - your timing would be off; if they did not rotate engine by hand and verified timing – it is likely to be off.. if they were drunk - it is likely to be off.. if they did not pay careful attention - it is likely to be off..) when timing is off you normally get poor mpg.. (is this the case?) does it knock more when cold? (it is possible they just forgot a wrench bit on/in the engine

). Rocker gasket is supposed to be replaced (according to
fiat) but new or old.. if fitted without aid of silicon gasket all around it will leak (new gasket may take about a month to get started.. but get started it will).
car would have less low rev power and poor
