Hi,

went and bought a cheap car cd player from argos ,looks the dogs ********,plays mp3,cd etc

BUT!

The fookin thing doesnt have a normal back on it,instead it has loads of wires all different colours named ,RH REAR SPEAKERS etc and it looks like i have to hard wire them to the car as they dont have plugs on them

Please help me!

LOL! Kids!

That is totally normal (at least for those of us old enough to remember when you had to actually wire your own HU in.

You can either strip your original connector off and use connector blocks to wire your own loom to the HU wires or get a different stereo.

The audio guide on this site lists which cable is which so have a look.

Ahhh, this takes me back to my FIAT 127 days. :)

where do i get the connector blocks for a car stereo

hi,i attempted to wire up the stereo by connecting the wires from the HU to the wires on the car loom ,and i got nothing LOL

Where can i get these connector blocks from mate ?

to fit a stereo really is a piece of **** im not an expert with electrics by far, But it mostly just matching them up if you have a wire on the stereo that is a diffent colour to the one on the car try it n e way can only blow a fuse(nowt like a bit of trial and error i always say!!

hi,where abouts are the fuses located for the stereo cables because when i was cutting the wiring on the car loom to put the wires together ,it made a big spark ,and the stereo isnt coming on so i assume its a fuse ive blown ,where are they located, ive checked the fuse box under the bonnet and they are fine
